Safeguarding and “Prevent”
St Mary’s Catholic Primary School endeavours to provide the children in their care with a safe and secure environment in which they can flourish emotionally and educationally. As part of our daily responsibilities we understand that staff have a crucial role to play in safeguarding our children, and promoting the welfare of every child in our care.
St. Mary’s is committed to the development of excellent practice and sound procedures for child protection. We have clearly defined procedures and a sound practical policy for the safeguarding of our children.
The Designated Senior Person for child protection and safeguarding is Mrs Dawn McGrath, the back up DSP is Mr Nolan and the child protection governor is Mr Charters.
If you require any further information or if you have any concerns about anyone in the school community please contact one of these school representatives.
