School Attendance for the Autumn Term in the academic academic year 2018-19 was 96.8% This compares with the national figure of 96.0%.
Good attendance is vital to support learning. All parents and carers are expected to promote good attendance by their children. Absences will not be authorised for family holidays and any planned absence must be discussed with the Head Teacher as early as possible.
St Mary’s children enjoy coming to school and receive an excellent curriculum. If you require any support with ensuring good attendance of your child, please contact school.
For academic year 2017-18, St Mary’s will review and renew it’s policy and procedures regarding attendance. Engaging with our parents and families on this matter will have a high priority as the school seeks to exceed the national average – this can only be done through true partnership.
